The AMI Lucknow 2008 took off full swing in Hotel La Place Park Inn, Lucknow with around 30 participants, today morning the 17th November 2008. Two courses are offered for this session: Basic Financial Management and Internal Audit and Control. The inaugural plenary session was taken by Professor Sanjeev Kapoor, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and member of MicroSave India's Board of Directors, on importance of Savings Services in Microfinance.
Most of the participants are from India, with a few from Mongolia and Afghanistan. The AMI training was made possible with support from MasterCard Foundation and theMicrofinance Management Institute (MFMI). All participants in this training have received 80% scholarship from MasterCard Foundation via MFMI.
