Abhishek Anand has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management at the Indian Institute of Forest Management in Bhopal. Abhishek has four years of experience in microfinace operations and consulting. He started with Grameen Koota as Division Manager, looking after north Karnataka division. While at Grameen Koota he managed existing areas and expanded operations, and also developed process and operations manuals for the organisation.
Working with ACCESS Development Services, he was involved in a major international assignment in Afghanistan, providing technical assistance to an MFI in Kabul. He provided technical assistance to MFIs in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and assisted in creation of MFIs under various legal entities like NBFC, Society, Trust and Cooperatives. Abhishek has an indepth knowledge of various methodologies adopted in microfinance and successfully created MFIs working in JLG, Grameen and SHG methodologies. He has conducted many institutional ratings of MFIs in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttranchal. Abhishek was responsible for developing programme strategy for MFIs, visioning exercise and perspective planning, business development planning, developing operation manuals, conducting process mapping exercise, developing human resource policy, gender policy, credit policy, designing lending systems, procedures and management information systems etc.
With MicroSave, Abhishek has worked on process analysis and operations, financial and accounts manual development. His areas of interest includes loan portfolio audit, market research for microfinance and costing and pricing of financial services.
